Ray Martin Memorial Boys Bracket Championship – Middle Township 59, Mainland 58: Middle Township’s Relly Wooten hit a running jumper in the lane with two seconds to play to lift the Panthers (5-1) to the victory. Wooten’s shot capped Middle’s comeback from a four-point deficit in the waning moments. Middle’s Jason Thompson hit a three-pointer with 13 seconds to go to draw Middle within one, before Wooten scored the game-winning basket following a Mainland turnover. Mainland (4-2) established its four-point lead after fighting back from a 17-point third-quarter deficit, the Mustangs using a 12-0 run at one point in the fourth quarter to tie the game. Mike Farrow pumped in a game-high 21 points and Thompson added 12 points to lead Middle. Mainland got 13 points from Sean Bannon and nine points and 11 rebounds from Eric Williams. Mainland shot 19 for 39 from the field (48.7 percent), but was only 14 for 29 from the foul line (48.3 percent).
