Andrew Alameno Memorial Girls Island Championship Game – Wildwood Catholic 58, Wildwood 50: Wildwood Catholic responded to a big third-quarter surge by Wildwood by going on a 14-3 run that began late in the third quarter and extended into the early part of the fourth. Emily Whissell scored 16 points, handed out five assists and recorded three steals to pace the Crusaders (2-1) to their second straight win in the island championship game. Laura Martin added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Wildwood (1-2), which went on 20-4 surge that spanned from the late in the first half to midway through the third quarter that earned it a brief three-point lead, got a game-high 23 points from Loretta Kelly and 13 points from Katie McWade.
