Andrew Alameno Memorial Boys Island Championship Game – Wildwood Catholic 60, Wildwood 55: Wildwood Catholic opened up a lead that grew as large as 10 points before holding off several Wildwood runs en route to winning the island title game. The Crusaders placed four players in double figures, led by Dave McCallion’s 13 points and game-high 15 rebounds. Bryan Toland also netted 13 points, T. John Casiello added 12 and DaQuill Gibbs chipped in 11. Wildwood (0-3) closed to within two points three times in the second half, including once with less than two minutes to play, but could never tie the game or take the lead. Joe Stefankiewitz shot 10 for 18 from the field and poured in game-high 23 points to go along with nine rebounds for the Warriors. Rick Palmer added 14 points.
